As you remember, there was an exploit on 7th January, as we have shared details here before. We transparently shared the details about the case and promised to take legal action, which we did. Now here are some updates:
- First of all, we made an official application regarding the situation in Turkey where Avaxtars was founded.
- In the course of the case, official contact was made with Binance as the attacker transferred the assets he had acquired to Binance. Binance responded to this application as follows:
- We also obtained the full identity of the attacker.
Since the stolen assets have not yet been returned to the system, we will continue the legal process with communicating with other CEXs to froze his assets.
If the attacker returns 1 396 $AVAX, which is the equivalent of the stolen resources, to 0x3bd7370Def6398Ad20a2E5409F808b0096D64365 address, the legal process will be stopped. In that case, $AVXT Token will be bought from the market in order to return them to the system with these resources.
